Golden Tent is a large (9m x 4.5m x 2.3m) satin-covered structure with a reflective golden floor. It was created as part of Jill’s doctoral research where she explored the conditions that might enhance ‘in the moment’ presence for staff alongside pupils within a school for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities (Download Jill’s PhD thesis here). Golden Tent was also integral to ‘Space for Peace’, an interfaith choral promenade event in 2017 & 2018, and formed part of the Sensory Theatre training module for Actor Musician students at Rose Bruford College in 2023.
