‘I am Creative’ Training
‘I am Creative’ Training
‘I am Creative’ is a training devised by the Arts in Education department in Ireland. The course is designed for senior leaders, teachers and special needs assistants from schools across Ireland as well as artists from a range of disciplines. The participants come together over a series of weekends to take part in practical creative workshops, discussions and presentations that all aim to improve the quality of provision in arts and creative practice for children with special educational needs and disabilities. Having been part of the devising team on the initial pilot for this training, I was delighted to be invited back to deliver a presentation, practical workshop and discussion.
- SNA "Definitely felt that Jill's perspective pushed the boundaries in a positive way, more inclusive and consideration and effort to encourage the best out of all young people. This is simply a good awareness and positivity"
- Teacher "I really got a lot from Jill's talk - she validated many of my approaches, but also gave me a lot of food for thought in relation to "presuming [competence]" as this is a phrase I use!"
- Creative "The talk with Jill was very informative and generated lots of discussion"
